Over spring break, ma famille et moi went on The Coast Starlight all the way up to Seattle. It was our first family trip together and we sat in a cramped sleeper car on the amtrak. I don't think it would be fun trying to stay on the train for too long because all we did was eat, look at the view and sleep. The view was nice during the night as we were able to see pure snow falling. It almost looked like something in a fantasy novel where there's something mystical behind the dark trees.
Passing through Northern California in the day time is relaxing. The grasses are untamed and bright green and the animals are happy and warm. I would like to run through these fields one day.
In Seattle, we visited the famous Pikes Place. I have to say that this was my favorite part of our short two day stay in Seattle. We even visited the first Starbucks coffee shop. However, we barely had time to take pictures in this dynamic environment.
We also stopped by the Washington Arboretum to have a looksy at the Japanese Garden. We were planning on roaming through the entire arboretum since our family members are avid flower fans, but we were unable to do so. But I have to say, the Japanese Garden was absolutely beautiful even though it was not yet in full bloom.
